The year started with a blast as multiple popular brands chose to reveal their flagship products in the market, including India. We witnessed the Galaxy S24 series launch from Samsung, and the OnePlus 12 series was also declared. However, February is expected to be even more intense with unveilings as companies prepare for the Mobile World Congress later next month. Based on reports, brands like Nothing, Xiaomi, and iQOO have products lined up in the coming days. Here’s a round-up of the major launches we anticipate to see in February 2024.

Large Phone Unveilings Anticipated In February 2024

Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing is rumored to be working on a new affordable Phone model known as Phone 2a and it is expected to be introduced at the MWC 2024 in the upcoming weeks. The Phone 2a could be available in two color options: black and white.

The device will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage in the base model, and the same could be priced sub EUR 400, which converts to around Rs 37,000 but we expect the price of the Phone 2a could be closer to Rs 32,999 in India upon launch. Going down the price scale indicates the phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip and feature an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Advertisement

iQOO Neo 9 Pro

iQOO seeks to build on the early promise created by the launch of the iQOO 12 in December. The new iQOO Neo 9 Pro has been confirmed to launch in February for buyers in India and the most exciting news about the device is that you will get it with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. iQOO Neo 9 Pro could be another aggressive offering from the brand, which already has the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered phone in the country.

The device is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will come with a dual rear camera setup consisting of the 50-megapixel Sony IMX 920 as the main sensor and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit. A 16-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter is also expected. Moreover, it could ship with Android 14 out of the box.

Honor X9b 5G

Honor will be expanding its product lineup with the help of Htech in India with the introduction of the Honor X9b smartphone in February. This phone concentrates on a durable screen which the brand is promoting as strong enough to withstand smashes and even being run over by cars. The phone’s listing online suggests you will get it with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is expected to be a mid-range offering from the brand and we’ll get more details in the build up to the launch.

Xiaomi launched the 14 series in China a couple of months ago and it is expected to be announced in India soon as well. However, the brand is already looking into the future with the introduction of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model that could be part of its lineup at the MWC 2024 in February. The biggest highlight of the Ultra moniker is the Leica-tuned and engineered cameras that have shown their capability with the 12S Ultra and last year’s 13 Ultra globally. We expect to see further advancements in the camera tech from the brand and hopefully a launch timeline for India as well.
